Why use School Circle - the case for community use

Raising the school’s profile and presence in your local community

Providing opportunities that encourage local people to use your facilities will help raise your school profile and status, and will show you take seriously your commitment to the local community.

Creating a positive perception amongst your local catchment area can lead to parents selecting your school through choice, increasing your pupil numbers.

Generating income streams

Funding cuts have put schools under extra financial pressure, and this can affect the quality of education that you can offer.

With this in mind, the most important reason to consider letting your school facilities is to generate much-needed extra income.

This can then be used to fund school resources, with direct benefit to both teachers and pupils. If you’re only using your premises during teaching hours, you’re missing out on this valuable revenue stream.

Our operations, marketing and communications team will handle every aspect of the lettings process from start to finish, meaning no extra work for your school staff.

We’ll promote the availability of your school facilities to the local community, find and vet suitable clients, and deal with bookings, payments and customer enquiries — as well as opening and closing the school when bookings are scheduled.

School Circle will promise to increase income generated from lettings. We will only take on a school if we are confident our unique end to end facilities management approach, designed to meet the needs of educational lettings, will significantly increase the revenue for your school.

All payment processing will be handled by School Circle and a full audit trail will be provided for all bookings on a regular basis.

School Circle are committed to ensuring that our safeguarding practice fulfils our statutory responsibilities and is in line with our client schools’ requirements. All of our staff are fully trained and hold an enhanced DBS check.

Our hire agreement terms and conditions are comprehensive and have been written by legal experts who specialise in education. We are fully insured and have a comprehensive monitoring and quality control policy.

We will cover all costs associated with community use of your school. We will provide staff who will be onsite for the duration of all bookings and be the first point of contact for clients.

Our staff will be responsible for opening, closing the venue and preparing the facilities ready for every booking. We will ensure the venue is treated with the utmost care and left clean and tidy ready for the next day's teaching.

A priority for School Circle is to employ local people. We will create multiple new local job opportunities in each community we operate in. School Circle will prioritise local people and parents for these roles.

Our flexible and rewarding roles will aim to create a local team who will build stronger social networks between schools and their communities.

We will endeavour to create a strong partnership with all our schools. Each school will have a single point of contact who will be available 24/7. We want the schools to focus on the core purpose of education and allow us to take care of the lettings.

A monthly report will be made available to key stakeholders at our partnership schools containing capacity reports, revenue figures and upcoming booking information.
